  • About us: Gethal was founded in 1946, oriented for the production plywood shapes. In 1979 a joint venture was established with a German company, since then, the efforts were concentrated in the production of equipments to be used in systems for the civil construction industry. The systems were very succesfull in its segment, and in 1992 the division that produced plywood merged and established a new factory in the state of Amazonas, focusing in the production of plywood.The industrial plant in Caxias do Sul was acquired by the board of directors in 1998, and the company was then focused in the development of new products and applications for the civil construction industry, such as new technologies in the development of technical solutions and projects for the construction of buildings, tunnels, bridges, supermarkets and houses.Gethal not only produces the equipments, but brings to its customers and partners complete solutions for any kind of construction project. Following that core business, Gethal has supplied equipments for more than 50,000 houses and over 6000 units of luxury apartments and Hotels in Brazil and South Africa; using a new technology developed for cellular (lighweight) concrete, which makes it lighter and with excellent thermo acoustic isolation properties. The factory has around 110 employees and an installed capacity to transform 300 tons/month of steel into concrete forms for slabs, walls as well as steel post shores, beams, anchors, and a variety of equipments in steel and aluminium.Gethal has commercial and engineering offices in several cities thoughout the country, covering the whole country with a sales and techical assistance network that reaches the most important cities in Brazil for the sale and rent of its equipments.
