The decorative images stamped on the pieces are reproductions of cave paintings.Our production is made in Brazil, at the borders of the biggest Brazilian archaeological site, called National Park of Capivara's Mountain. This site is recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage.Rupestra was developed during a Master of Science in Design by Cristiane Dias in 1998, in London. In 1999 the project was chosen among 20 projects to represent the Master of Science class in an annual showing at the Lethaby Gallery, in London. The project was also nominated to the College Catalog.We promote a fair trade concerning the local economical development, humanitarian working conditions and nature preservation. The pieces are non-toxic, oven/microwave and dish washer resistant.
